The Moosehead Lake Region offers many scheduled events to enjoy during your vacation stay. Some of the more popular ones include:
Moose Mania
This is a month-long celebration each spring. Some of the events include the Moose River Canoe Race, Tour de Moose Mountain Bike Race & Tour, a Craft Fair, Kids Fun Day, and Famous Moose Tales.
4TH of July
The Junction Wharf is the site for a fun day planned with games, a craft fair, and food. A parade is enjoyed as it makes its way along the main streets in Greenville. The evening fireworks display is the largest in the county.
Greenville Gazebo Concert Series
Friday nights at the Gazebo, located in downtown Greenville. Usually runs through July into mid-August. Enjoy live music in a relaxed setting.
Forest Heritage Days
Held during the 2nd weekend in August. It is a yearly celebration of the Moosehead Lake Regions heritage and history. Some of the events include woods tours, educational exhibits, a craft fair, and logging games.
Sea Plane Fly-In
Land and floatplanes worldwide come to the Moosehead Lake Region during the weekend after Labor Day. There are floatplane competitions, educational exhibits, the region’s largest craft fair, lots of food, and more. It’s a yearly tradition that attracts a larger crowd every time.
Moose on the Run
Sponsored by the United Kingfield Bank on the Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend. The foliage adds to the scenery for runners and spectators alike.
